V salonu barokních dam
ABOUT
Radůza – V salonu barokních dam (In the Salon of Baroque Dames)
This year Radůza releases her third album. After live CD called “Vše je jedním” (All is One) and DVD, “Půjdu, kam chci” (I Will Go Where I Want To), the new studio album ”V salonu barokních dam” (In the Salon of Baroque Dames) is released. The album is the turning point for Radůza, the previous live records closed her period with accordion and they rang down the curtain on this instrument. There is no piece with accordion on the new album. Radůza also invited many guests to the studio. She comments on her album:
”I called the CD "V salonu barokních dam" (In the Salon of Baroque Dames) according to one of the songs, which acknowledges openly to the Broque bequest. Finally all the songs came out in such a way that they relate to the Baroque in any manner, although some of the references are hidden. The songs are composed in such a way that always at least two songs in the album relate to each other, whether as for their motive, lyrics or arrangement. In three pieces I elaborate the same motive, these are in fact kind of “variations”. I think that this album is different from the other of my studio albums released so far.
The most apparent difference is that you cannot find there even one song written for accordion. Accordion is heard there only as a solo melodic instrument in one song, otherwise I played with other instruments. The reason was probably that since I left the conservatory, I did not write a note and I missed it. So now I let myself go. I wrote string quartet into two songs, I sing the text by Jan Neruda accompanied by organ and oboe, I played spinet, key board, piano, xylophone, vibraphone, harmonica and mey, which is the musical instrument that I brought from Turkey and in another song I am accompanied by banjo.“
