Vladimír Mišík

Musician, singer, and guitarist Vladimír Mišík (1947) is a founding member of the bands The Matadors, Blue Effect, Flamengo, and Etc... (1974), with which he still performs today. From 1982 to 1985, he was banned from performing for political reasons. In 1990, he was elected to the Czech National Council for a two-year term as a member of the Civic Forum. His best-known songs include “Slunečný hrob,” “Kuře v hodinkách,” “Stříhali dohola malého chlapečka,” “Variace na renesanční téma (Láska je jako večernice),” and “Obelisk.”
