Veru Linhartová

Veru is a violinist, singer, performer and composer.

She has been playing the violin since the age of four and has devoted herself to the study of music throughout her life. She first attended the music programme at Jan Neruda Grammar School in Prague before graduating from the Prague Conservatoire, where she studied under Professor Dana Vlachová.

She further developed her performance and interpretative skills by regularly attending masterclasses with leading violinists including Gabriela Demeterová, Jaroslav Svěcený and Václav Hudeček.

She has received numerous awards at international violin competitions, including the opportunity to perform in concert alongside Josef Suk. As a member of the Prague Conservatoire Orchestra, she took part in the opening concert of the Prague Spring International Music Festival, performing Smetana's Má vlast under the baton of Jiří Bělohlávek. She also collaborated on symphonic projects with guitarist Michal Pavlíček and has shared the stage with artists including Jaromír Nohavica and Michael Bublé.

Although classically trained, Veru gradually found herself drawn towards creating her own original music and exploring other musical genres, particularly music for theatre and live performance.

In 2015, she joined Cirk La Putyka, becoming part of its artistic family. Since then, she has performed in numerous productions, many of which have toured internationally to great acclaim. She currently performs live in Okamžik and Runners, and can also be heard in the company's latest production, Hey Earth!. She also performs with fellow musicians from Cirk La Putyka in the band CLPBND.

Alongside her own work, Veru collaborates with a wide range of artists in both the studio and on stage, and regularly performs at concerts, cultural events and private occasions. She is a co founder and proud member of the electric string trio Eterea.

She also leads occasional workshops, bringing together music with elements of mindfulness and spirituality.
