Štastně a vesele!

Beskydy Caroling - the band RukyNaDudy from Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, CR, has been playing old music from the Beskydy region on half-forgotten musical instruments since 2004. All this time, every year on 26 December, they go on a traditional carol tour from house to house, singing and playing local carols. They visit families, friends and supporters throughout their home territory between the Beskydy hills of Radhoštěm and Lysa Hora. So many songs have been collected over the past twenty years that it was time to record them, and thus the album RukyNaDudy: Šťastně a vesele! (i.e. Happy And Merry!)

The songs were selected and arranged by the well-known musician Marian Friedl (producer of albums such as Báránci a vlci, 11 Podob lásky, Ješte je and many others...) in his own distinctive way, which combines respect for tradition and progressive musical thinking of today. After the albums Písně Hukvaldských Beskyd (2014), Píseň ZEMĚ (2019), Ruky na dudách (2021), Šťastně a vesele! (2023) is the fourth profile album of the band RukyNaDudy.
