Karolína Kmeťová and Eva Danielová, two young and talented singers, have joined forces with musician and producer Zdeněk Regal Jurčík (Načeva, Priessnitz, Kafka Band, Letní kapela, and others) to form the trio Freedberg. Following the release of their debut original single Antonín, the band have continued working on new material and now return with WOU, released via Indies Scope. At the same time, they introduce their new band name, Freedberg, inspired by the German name Friedeberg, referring to the Rychleby Mountains, where the trio are based, and create their music.

Compared to their atmospheric debut single, WOU takes a more singer-songwriter approach. The track was recorded at Regal's home studio, Hudební pokojíček Freedberg, where he also handled the instrumentation, recording and mixing. The recording was made entirely without pitch correction or tuning software, embracing an authentic and traditional production approach.
The single was mastered by acclaimed sound engineer Petr Kaláb, whose credits include David Koller, Kollerband, LUCIE and BELOUD Post Production Studio Prague.
Freedberg are currently recording more new music, with plans to release a full-length album and begin performing live together.

The music video for WOU was filmed in and around the beautiful Tančírna dance hall, including its historic stables. Directed by Alex Samuel and Lucie Žáčková, it was shot on a vintage camera, giving the video its distinctive, poetic atmosphere.
