Jiří Lábus, Bára Hrznánová, Jan Potměšil and Marka Míková gathered in the studio to record fairytales for children as part of the project called Loutky v nemocnici (i.e. Puppets in Hospital). After the album of songs, Dobrá medicína (i.e. Good Medicine), Loutky v nemocnici now bring four narrated fairytales that will bring happiness especially to sick children. Pohádková medicína on CD, which includes a picture memory game (Czech “pexeso”), will be given away to children by the actors during their visits to hospitals.
Actors and musicians have been visiting pediatric patients hospitalized across the Czech Republic for more than 11 years under the wings of the non profit organization Loutky v nemocnici. Now they have a present for these kids in the form of a CD called Pohádková medicína (i.e. Fairytale Medicine), which should bring lots of joy. It is more than 60 minutes of fun and thrilling adventures created as a collaboration from amazing actors and recorded in studio Beep. Pohádková medicína includes 4 stories which are usually performed to kids in hospitals by the actors and musicians both in the playgrounds, in the hospital wards or right at the beds of the pediatric patients.
The first one called Lenochodi (i.e. The Sloths) is based on the story by Anne-Catrine De Boel and was narrated by Jiří Lábus; the adventurous Myši patří do nebe (ale jenom na chvíli) (i.e. Mice Belong To Heaven (But Only For A Little While)) based on the book by Iva Procházková, narrated by Bára Hrzánová; a thrilling story based on the novel by Herman Melvill, Moby Dick, was interpreted by Jan Potměšil with songs performed by Tomáš Karger; and in the last fairytale O statečném tygříkovi (i.e. Brave Little Tiger) based on the book by Libuše Palečková, you’ll hear Marka Míková. She also adapted individual stories and directed the whole audio recording.
