Rock fused with electro music; or a tender caress in the blaze of a plasma eruption on their debut album, Piece of My Life. Nèro Scartch launched first official video - Across The Ocean. Director Risto Sokolovski chose the retro look.

Nèro Scartch

Jakub Svoboda alias Nèro Scartch is a young Czech producer and multi-instrumentalist, born in 1995. When he was three, his brother got a drum kit and suddenly drumming became Nèro’s main activity. At the age of six, they formed a punk-rock band Hromy Blesky and recorded two albums (Mraky – 2003, Pocity – 2006). In 2004, Jakub started to study percussion at Tomáš Konůpka (Android Asteroid, ex-Navigators, ex-Southpaw), who brought him two years later to a jazz trio under the direction of the jazz composer Emil Hradecky. There he began to learn more about the jazz and swing music; and in 2007, the trio won the first prize in the national competition and several other awards and in 2009, Nèro got second in the national competition in playing the drums.

Later on, Nèro starts working on his solo electronic music, which paid off in the summer of 2012, when Mikuláš Pejcha together with his schoolmate and Nèro’s cousin, Jan Drábek, turn up with an idea to start up an electro-swing band. At that time, Nèro is in a metal-core band Break the Rules but he agrees and in the summer holidays they write the first demos with Mikuláš. And when their long term friend and singer Žofie Dařbujánová joins in, Mydy Rabycad is formed.

In mid-2013, Nèro begins to compose material with a vision of his first solo album. He doesn’t hesitate to contact Tomáš Konůpka who undertakes the production of the whole project, introduces Nèro to Risto Sokolovski who then mixes and co-produces the album, and to Yarda Helešic. The only break during the work on this album is during the work on the album of Mydy Rabycad – Glamtronic. Nèro Scartch brings his emotional and energetic music to life with a live band which includes members such as Jan Drábek – bass guitar, keyboards, Jan Matějka – guitar, keyboard, Sven Vikingson – drums.
